Connect The Continuous Waste Pipe

The continuous waste pipe connects the two sides of the sink drain and should be installed next. Hold the continuous waste pipe up to the two drain ends and take a measurement for cutting the flanged tailpiece.

The flanged tailpiece goes right on the bottom of the basket strainer. Measure from the flanged tailpiece to the disposal outlet allowing for a slight downgrade between the garbage disposer and the other side of the sink. The fittings should fit tightly together so do not overestimate the length; cut them long if necessary and make small adjustments.

Connect the flanged tailpiece to the basket strainer and the the continuous waste to the end of that.
