I came across a handy toilet seat tightening kit at my local home improvement store a few months ago and decided to try it out. Tightening a loose toilet seat is such an easy problem to fix that a kit may seem unnecessary, but the washers that come with the kit are supposed to help prevent loosening by stopping the wiggle, so I decided to give it a try.
The installation process took only about 5 minutes and I have had them in place about 2 months now and the toilet seat is still tight. I am not expecting it to last forever that way but at least it will be longer between tightening.
