When installing a new bathroom vanity or kitchen cabinet don't overlook pipe caps. If the water pipes come up through the bottom or in from the back of a cabinet the pipes may need to be cut to remove the cabinet. As long as you don't need water in the rest of the house while the project is completed you can leave the pipes as is. But if the project will take some time you will likely need to cap the water pipes so you can turn on the water main. Instead of soldering caps onto the pipes try using push fit pipe caps. These handy fittings go on quickly and easily and can be removed just as easily later.
