Is Your Water Heater Acting Up?

Water heaters are the greatest appliance ever..when they are working. And when do you find out they are not working, well when you go to take a shower in the morning right before work and your already running late and have to settle for a cold snap. The plus side is they freezing cold water can help your metabolism burn off more calories.

To troubleshoot your water heater:

1. First make sure you paid your gas bill. If you have gas at your stove you should have gas at the water heater.
2. Try to light the water heater according the instructions on the water heater.
3. If the pilot went out immediately after you let the dial go then its most likely your thermal coupling. The problem can be fixed by a simple thermocouple replacement.
