Handy Tool To Clean Your Sink Drain

Cleaning out the bathroom sink drain regularly can help you avoid a complete stoppage. A Zip It, one of my favorite tools, makes this job easy and the best part is that it is very inexpensive.

You can purchase a Zip It at home improvement stores or your local hardware store for a few dollars. I recommend having a couple on hand since they can wear out and they are not always easy to find at the store.

Use a Zip It to clean your bathroom sink drain every few months or when you notice that the water drains slowly. Keep in mind that a Zip It cannot clear a complete stoppage. However, it can clear out the small amount of hair and build up that accumulates over time.

Using a Zip It is very easy:

• Insert it into the sink drain. You may have to wiggle it a little to work it in since it can get caught on the drain stopper.
• Once it is all the way in pull it out, wiggling it if necessary.
• Clean any hair and build up off of the Zip It.
• Repeat this couple of times until it comes out clean.

Using a Zip It on a regular basis can help keep your bathroom sink drain clear.
